Just what I was looking for...an inexpensive briefcase that was NOT made for carrying a laptop (I already have a laptop case). This fits the bill. It has plenty of pockets, an expandable strap, and an expandable main compartment for those days that I have to take home lots of work. Well worth the low price.

The clips that attach the shoulder strap to the bag are cheap and come apart a lot. There is a thin metal "staple" that keeps the strap on the bag and it loosens all the time causing the strap to slip off. Cheap construction technique to save the manufacturer money! I would not recommend this bag to anyone for this reason. I purchased the bag to replace the same model from 4 years ago which just wore out. The clips have been re-engineered to save $, but cause problems!

This case holds WAY MORE than you would think by looking at it. This is the second one I have owned. These are durable, practical, attractive and incredibly affordable and useful. The only issue I think that needs to be addressed is that the underside of the shoulder pad needs to have rubber grips or veins to keep it from slipping off the shoulder. Depending on the material of the shirt, the strap can easily slip off and I find myself constantly pulling it back up. Although that is inconvenient, I will continue to buy this case only. It is absolutely the best for the price. I know. I did a lot of research before my first purchase. The case expands to hold more than most people carry. I carry it to work with my lunch inside, books, ½ gallon of water, and more. It easily accommodates all that I need to bring to work and back to home. Bottom line - It is truly an incredible value!

This item is of excellent size for every day business and for travel ventures. The material is durable and there are many convenient pockets. My intent for purchase was to have a bag large enough to carry the little extras on board a plane. There are large pockets on the outside for easy access. This will definitely satisfy the need and appears to fit well under seat. A very good buy for the price.
