I was looking for a messenger bag that was formal enough to take to work but also casual enough for class. I think this bag works for both situations. Overall it is large enough for my laptop (macbook air) a book, water bottle, and a lunch. Add gym clothes and it is bulging.
The picture accurately shows the bag's color. The strap is long in my opinion, but I am 5'7 so probably not an issue for taller people. Under the flap there are two compartments with the main compartment being about 75% of the space and the smaller one having various pockets in it.
