I have taken my Meridian suitcases on many flights and it has never come back damaged. It's light and easily manuvered through airports. It's all in the wheels.

This is a very nice case in terms of appearance, capacity and ease of use. However, the materials cannot take the abuse of normal airline baggage handling. On our first trip with this luggage, the bag was badly dented on one corner and gouged in the center. I have a very old Samsonite I used on 100 trips and it never dented. I would avoid this product if you check your luggage.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
