I bought this item as a gift for a larger family member. I assumed "extra wide 40" meant the width of the area where the chest of a suit coat would hang would be 40". Not the case. I'm not sure what the problem is because as I said it was a gift. But when I spoke to the family member he informed me that it is not what I thought it would be.
