I carried a smaller, fashionable 'decoy' bag while traveling overseas, and kept my valuables in the silk money belt. While I was not a pickpocket victim, others on our tour had been. They didn't carry a money belt then, but they do now. The fabric breathes nicely in hot climates, while the plastic insert keeps moisture away from paper money. Highly recommend it!

This item is useful. Although I'm not crazy about such items and usually can figure out a way to do without it and almost seem geekish to me.. it was necessary for recent travel to South America. I need to carry cash more than I would normally. So it was ok. I still don't like wearing things under my shirt but better than getting pick pocketed. I also used a belt with a zippered pocket and it was also useful. Chau,
