Overall this is exactly what I was looking for in an umbrella. It has good protection, and the style that I wanted. So far it appears to be a high quality product that will last many years. My only gripe is that it came with a couple mars on the handle, but that is a relatively minor issue.

Not a lot of people comment on this umbrella, but when they do, they really notice that this product is sturdy, well-made, and generally of a quality that seems to be of previous generations - this is NOT junk from China that will break after a year. It's simple and well-made. It's sturdy and will last for a long time. It's already been with me through many Chicago thunderstorms and looks like the day it arrived in the mail (unlike other umbrellas which haven't survived even one storm here). I am so happy with this purchase.
