I originally bought this carrier for my seven month old kitten, as I was flying out of state for a month and wanted to bring him as a carry-on, and my cat was so comfortable with the carrier that he was sleeping in it almost every night. He loves this thing. It's much more spacious than it looks; he can stand up and turn around and has plenty of room to get comfortable, which is great because its smaller size makes it very portable and easy to carry. I wholeheartedly recommend this product if you're looking for a quality, airline safe (for carry on), comfortable and durable carrier.

I used the bag on a roundtrip flight from CA to FL. It' over 5 hours flight and my puppy was as comfortable as anyone could be in a full plane. The bag fit under the seat in front of me and he slept most of the way. It's a little cramped, he's 12 lbs. but any bigger he wouldn't be able to fit. it's really as small as the bag can get without being evil. Sherpa makes great bags, and i know it'll last a long time. THe only thing i would recommend is that if your dog weights more than maybe 13lbs or is very long, get the bigger size, although the large will NOT fit under the seat in the plane. that's the only problem because the medium is the largest size that will still be airline friendly.

This bag would probably be great for well behaved pets. Unfortunately, my cat is a little bit feral, and decided that shredding it from the inside out was the only acceptable answer on our long plane ride. To the bag's credit, this only seemed to do cosmetic damage to the inside, and it still works fine. Still, one would think that the company would use something other than a soft foam on the sides and top of the interior of the bag - although the bag still functions, it looks pretty messed up.

My dog is 5lbs and found this bag to be roomy and comfortable. She has never been in a carry case before and did very well traveling through airports around the holidays in this bag.
