I bought this because my messenger bag was too bulky and not sturdy enough for airplane carry-on. This case is very sturdy, but also very heavy. Its weight and the strap-in design make the laptop hard to remove. I like to use the pen holders in my messenger bag to hold USB sticks, but the ones in this case are too small, and sewn leather instead of elastic. The case is about 1" too narrow to easily fit a 15.4" laptop plus the power brick in the pouch provided. Padding is good, the twin combination locks are good but tend to spin out of alignment easily. The strap is rough, and mine broke the latching piece on the first day.
